For most of us Baby Boomers and beyond, financial stress has increased markedly over the past three months. If you're like me, you no longer have much confidence in the retirement plan and investment portfolio, both of which looked so solid just last August.
Rather than using the bleak econmy, routine flow of bad news or our now uncertain financial future, now may be the ideal time to begin to revive positive personal this very day! I trust like me, you are learning to focus more on the present moment and to cherish friends and loved ones closest to you. Now is the time to ponder together the value of life and to reorder individual and collective priorities.
It should come as no surprise that as you begin to positively transform your emotions, you will find yourself increasingly capable of challenging an uncertain future. Because of your emerging strong onner compass, you will develop over time the ability to stand up to even the most challenging external circumstance. Along with a reawakened consciousness, by your very nature you will begin to respond with warm and compassion to those less fortunate.
Not one of us alone can restore the world economy but every one of us retains absolute power to positively influence our little corner of the globe. As we seek, perhaps against long odds, to revive positive emotions and establish a new game plan for today's realities we risk absolutely nothing except the loss of our perpetual built-in excuse for beginning and ending each day on a sour note.
I would very much like to hear from others on how you are coping with recent financial stress. It also might be beneficial to start a chat group on the subject. Please post your response or e-mail me at:
